1st week of the 7 dwarves

CanCan only allowed me to touch the babies around the 2nd or third day after they were born. First and second days were hell. CanCan was obviously tired, hungry and thirsty. I had to bring her water and she had to lick bit by bit from my cupped hands as her drinking bowl was impossible to tilt underneath the table wihtout spilling.

Carried and transported them out back into the balcony area. Cancan's sleep area were added with towels and blankets. Sides of the bench which she slept under was covered up. I figured a darker and cosy place would be better as the pups have not opened their eyes.

When they were born one by one, it was an amazing sight to witness. Birth of a new life. They were ovalish and wrapped in plastic-like membrane with their umbilical cords still attached. Cancan licked clean the membrane and bit off the cords one by one. The order of the pups were:

1)the black pup
2)the cow
3 - 5 ) the rest were hidden from view
6)cancan lookalike
7)cancan greyish lookalike

This is the 1st week. They are still unable to move much. Their eyes and ears have not opened and they cannot see nor hear yet. They smell and respond to Cancan, instinctively sucking for milk.

On the third day only was Cancan finally willing to leave the puppies and go down to relieve herself. she is outside trained, and the first 2 days, she did not even pee nor shit in the balcony though I gave her newspapers.
